Motorhome manufacturing & rental blog

When we just started, 5-6 years ago, and foreign tourists were still visiting our places (and even called us a couple of times), we really wanted to make an English version of the site. But there was no time to do this.

Now we got busy, did it: https://siberian-motorbears.ru/en/

Maybe now is not the best time, and how soon a foreign tourist will appear here is unknown. But let it be, whatever. Maybe at least search engines will like our site more :)

We have a completely new, wonderful section on our website.

Here it is, how beautiful it is: https://siberian-motorbears.ru/routes: "Ideas for routes on a rental motorhome from Novosibirsk." And not only at rental stores, in general. But just before renting, tourists used to ask us: “Where can you go in a motorhome from Novosibirsk.” Now you don’t have to remember all the interesting places every time in order to answer such questions :)

While it's winter and idleness, we're playing around with artificial intelligence.

He also spruced up the website for us, and this very blog now broadcasts there.

And at the same time, I generated a couple of beautiful pictures and a very funny video about a new bear, which we have been designing for a long time and will soon (we hope) start making. From the outside, this is almost exactly what it will look like. However, it’s not possible to generate the internal content so easily, so you can view it in a simpler form, the old fashioned way :)

Panda Mia is finishing up the furniture, and will soon move on to welding and electrical work. The first test drive is scheduled for mid-October.

Panda has some non-standard solutions that we have to try out:

- In one easy movement, the toilet from the bathroom rolls along the guides under the bed so that you can take a shower without being in a cramped space. You can take it outside for cleaning from the bathroom and from under the bed.

- The bathroom door is made of an accordion of two halves, so that when open it does not take up almost any space.

- There is no sink in the bathroom. Let's see how it will be without her.

- The upper berths recline, like on a train.

- The layout of the original chassis with an entrance door in the cabin gives us more free space in the living compartment, but forces one of the seats to be retractable.

Overall, it turns out beautifully: real paneled doors, artificially aged wood, competent zoning.

Although the van is small, it was VERY spacious inside. It looks like you can play badminton. And there's plenty of storage space, especially under the double bed in the rear.

The Baribal design continues to be refined based on the results of sea trials.

In Baron, we tried to place all the engineering equipment in the “hump” at the stern, for ease of maintenance and simplified dismantling of the living compartment. It turned out to be very comfortable, but the final weight distribution was poor. Too much mass has gone rearward and this has had a negative impact on handling at high speeds.

A new experiment - they made cheeks on the sides in front of the living compartment, and sawed off the hump. On the right are electricity and heating, on the left are water and gas. Controls, sockets, lamps, heater deflectors - this moved to the console under the ceiling in the front.

The cheeks did their job - the weight was redistributed forward, between the axles, handling improved, aerodynamics were not affected. Well, it all looks mega-brutal :)

Now we are waiting for the opportunity to go to Altai and try everything out.
