We have long been planning a winter auto tour “Ski Ring of Siberia”: Novosibirsk - Yurmanka - Belokurikha - Manzherok - Teletskoye - Sheregesh - Tanai - Novosibirsk. Well, something like that. We were confident that this was a great idea and would be great for traveling with a motorized bear.

And last weekend, completely unplanned and unexpectedly for ourselves, we decided to try this route. We didn’t have much time, only three nights and four days, so we drove in a shortened form: Novosibirsk - Manzherok - Teletskoye - Sheregesh - Novosibirsk. But in general, in terms of distance, this is almost the entire ring.

Every day we left after lunch and reached the next resort by nightfall. They walked there a little, had dinner, and went to bed. In the morning we had breakfast and went skiing. Then we had lunch, left the place and moved on.

We left home Thursday at 16:00 and returned on Sunday at 21:30.

We drove approximately 1,463 kilometers and burned approximately 284 liters of gasoline. In total, the average consumption, together with round-the-clock heating of the living compartment with Webasto, is 19.41 liters per hundred. Not too bad considering the truck is loaded to the max.

This means we spent about 11,500 rubles on gasoline. And if we paid ourselves for the rental, it would be three days - 27,000 rubles. In total, without taking into account food and skis, such a tour would cost the client approximately 38,500 rubles (bear rental plus gasoline).

People often ask us: “Why is it so damn expensive?!” Today, out of curiosity, I decided to compare prices with an alternative option: rent a regular sedan in Novosibirsk, and live in hotels on site (four of us (!)). Considering that we always spent the night right below the slope, I look for hotels there, and they are usually not cheap. Here's what I googled quickly:

- Manzherok (Thursday) - 6250;

- Teletskoye, "Glyba" (Friday) - 15,000;

- Sheregesh, "Elena" (Saturday) - 10800;

- sedan rental for three days - from 7500;

- gasoline (let’s assume that the sedan consumes half as much) - 6750.

Total - 46,300 rubles.

We're cheaper! And you don't need to book anything. You can also change your mind and go somewhere else altogether. You can also not rush anywhere and calmly spend the night halfway in the forest if you are tired. And it's just fun :)

Overall, the trip was great and we really enjoyed it! A separate pleasant surprise was the ski resort on Teletskoye. It was our first time there and we just fell in love. Soft powder, long beautiful trails between high mountains, and no queues at all. And the parking lot near the chairlift is especially convenient for a motorhome, because there is a spring right on it! We went out to him with a watering can, filled a full tank of water and splashed around in the shower.

We also liked the road from Lake Teletskoye through Turochak to Sheregesh. It is completely deserted, and partly without asphalt. There was also a pass, covered with fresh snowfall, where Makar did not chase calves and the wolves were afraid to shit, and in the night it was simply beautiful. And, to be honest, I felt much calmer on this road with the thought that I did have all-wheel drive :)

But in Mazherka (or Manzherok?) the trails are a bit boring. But there is a huge skating rink right next to the parking lot, which is illuminated all night and is open to everyone. You need to take your skates with you. And in general, there under the mountain it is very cozy and beautiful, and there are a lot of interesting things. By the way, they have a brand new indoor lift, like in sector E.

You can talk endlessly about any travel. But there is a risk that everyone will get bored with these fables. So let's leave it at that. If you are interested in something, ask in the comments.
