The Baribal design continues to be refined based on the results of sea trials.

In Baron, we tried to place all the engineering equipment in the “hump” at the stern, for ease of maintenance and simplified dismantling of the living compartment. It turned out to be very comfortable, but the final weight distribution was poor. Too much mass has gone rearward and this has had a negative impact on handling at high speeds.

A new experiment - they made cheeks on the sides in front of the living compartment, and sawed off the hump. On the right are electricity and heating, on the left are water and gas. Controls, sockets, lamps, heater deflectors - this moved to the console under the ceiling in the front.

The cheeks did their job - the weight was redistributed forward, between the axles, handling improved, aerodynamics were not affected. Well, it all looks mega-brutal :)

Now we are waiting for the opportunity to go to Altai and try everything out.
